Our Hardwood Installation Process
At Amber Floors Inc., we take every step to ensure a professional installation and a positive experience from start to finish. Before work begins, we carefully prepare and protect your home by sealing off work areas to help contain dust and debris. Doors to the installation area are covered, and when working in kitchens or other sensitive spaces, cabinets and surrounding surfaces are protected with plastic sheeting and tape. While every effort is made to minimize dust and thoroughly clean the area upon completion, some airborne dust is unavoidable during the installation process.
Before installing your new hardwood flooring, our team conducts a thorough inspection of the subfloor to identify any imperfections that could affect the finished floor. We also perform moisture testing to ensure conditions are suitable for installation, helping protect your investment and promote long-term performance. For added stability and durability, hardwood flooring is typically installed perpendicular to the floor joists whenever possible.
From preparation to final cleanup, our knowledgeable and experienced installers are committed to delivering quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service every step of the way.

Hardwood Floor Care Tips
Wood is a natural product that responds to changes in temperature and humidity. As seasons change, you may notice small gaps or cracks appear during drier winter months and lessen during more humid summer months. This natural expansion and contraction is normal.
Maintaining consistent indoor humidity levels can help minimize these seasonal changes and keep your hardwood floors looking their best. To preserve the beauty and longevity of your hardwood floors, dust and clean them regularly using a microfiber mop and a manufacturer-approved hardwood floor cleaner. Avoid excessive moisture, steam cleaners, harsh chemicals, soap, or standing water, as these can damage the finish and potentially cause cupping or warping over time.
Neutral hardwood floor cleaners, such as Bona®, are recommended to help maintain your floor's appearance and protect your investment for years to come.
